BCCF Winter Cost of Living Campaign

Local money invested in local projects positively impacts local people's lives

BCCF is launching its Winter ‘Cost of Living Crisis’ campaign and is looking to provide financial grants to support a range of local projects this coming winter 2024/25.

This will be wide-ranging and include support to those in food and fuel poverty, debt support, homelessness, mental health issues and loneliness.

Over the last few years, the Christian community in Bristol has responded to a range of local community needs with amazing generosity.

We know that local money invested in local projects positively impacts local people's lives. It works.

The challenges and impacts from the last few years continue. With stretched and depleted resources, it is becoming increasingly harder for local projects to meet the wide range of critical needs across Bristol.

People face multiple challenges, interlocking issues and ever-greater impacts that require longer-term, strategic action and immediate emergency responses.

Supporting our city in times of significant need

The Bristol Churches City Fund (BCCF) is a platform to encourage the Christian community to donate finances to critical needs in Bristol. Donations come from across the city to support projects and initiatives and these are then granted strategically and in a targeted way to deliver the most significant positive impact.

Over recent years, we've seen the city unite and partner remarkably, and the church community has played a vital role in the city.

How you can help

This is a time for us as a church community, along with others across the city, to show a spirit of generosity and kindness.

Please give -  we believe this to be a biblical imperative: “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

(Bristol Churches City Fund is administered through the George Müller Charitable Trust, providing governance over how funds are released to support key projects and initiatives across the Region).
