New Case Study: The Mercy Group at Clifton Catholic Cathedral

The REconnect Cafe at St Martin’s Church Knowle

The Mercy Group at Clifton Cathedral provides vital support for those facing mental health challenges and social isolation. Offering weekly gatherings, one-on-one listening sessions, and practical help with benefit applications and referrals, the group creates a safe space for connection. During the pandemic, it expanded its reach by hosting monthly communal lunches and social events to combat isolation.

Now supporting young adults, asylum seekers, and refugees, the Mercy Group offers transport, take-home meals, and community integration. With over 100 attendees at its lunches, it continues to address critical mental health needs, fostering belonging and ensuring no one feels left out.
