Why we as church leaders are supporting the Bristol Churches City Fund
The Bristol City Churches Fund is an opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of young people in our city.
Like in the days of Nehemiah, where the people of Jerusalem worked together to rebuild the city's walls, the fund is a chance for churches to work together and for each church to play its part around child welfare challenges in Bristol.
The fund's purpose is to support three strategic initiatives around fostering/adoption, supporting troubled children at primary school age and supporting struggling teenagers.
"This is about raising funds in a united and collaborative way so that we're able to support the most vulnerable children and young people across the city" said Pastor Osien Sibanda, God's House International Centre.
Wayne Massey, Co-Lead Pastor at B&A Church, added “The Bristol City Churches Fund is a great way for churches to support one another in making a real difference across the city of Bristol”.
In the book of Nehemiah, everyone had their own bit of the wall to build:
You or your church might want to donate.
You might want to put on a special service to raise awareness of fostering and adoption needs.
You could reach out to explore how you could support children and young people in your community.
Unity is not just something we have, but it is also something we must pursue.
So as we serve Bristol in our individual ways, there is a parallel call to love the city in the city-wide challenges too.
To not only be a 'City of Hope', but to be a city that builds hope.
Be part of a Kingdom Generosity
Your donations support projects and initiatives across the city, allowing them to respond to critical needs in Bristol, delivering impact in significant and strategic ways.
